A Message from Dr. Davis

Hello Longview Lions,

I am your proud principal, Dr. Cindy Davis. Since I may be new to some of you, I was born and raised in Spring Hill. I attended Bethesda, Page Middle and am a proud graduate of Fred J. Page High School. 

I attended Columbia State Community College and earned an Associates Degree of Science. I also attended MTSU and earned a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Education Specialist Degrees. Lipscomb University is where I last attended to earn my Doctor of Education Degree.

I have a beautiful daughter, Mariah, along with a big and wonderful supportive family. Together, we love to spend time together and travel.

I am excited to rejoin this community and work collaboratively with all of you. My goal is to ensure that ALL faculty/staff and ALL students are learning and growing in an impactful way that ensures a strong foundation for their future endeavors. We will achieve that by collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure our learning environment is safe, strong, and fun. This year, we kick off with a new theme, Kintsugi. We chose this because the staff shared that there were topics that needed some attention and improvement. We acknowledge those items and are ready to improve them. Just like Kintsugi Art, we know that when we put the broken pieces back together and seal it with a golden seal of collaborative effort, the product will be even more beautiful! 

I am looking forward to meeting all of you and partnering with you to ensure your child has a positive and impactful year. Go LIONS!

Kintsugi:  At its core, kintsugi represents resilience and the beauty of imperfection. Instead of discarding a broken ceramic piece, the repair process treats the damage as a vital part of the item's history. This concept is tied closely to three traditional Japanese principles.
